WE ARE ALL "US" TOGETHER
The purpose of The Peace Stream is to join with others in infusing as much peace energy into the world as possible. If you have a compelling desire for greater peace both within yourself and also between and among individuals, groups, communities, and nations, we're right there with you! We are all in this life together, and the more we can experience, learn about, and spread peace, the better off everyone will be!
HOW WE BEGAN
IT ALL STARTED WITH A COURSE AND A MEDITATION
Julie and Peggy first met in a life-changing personal-growth course, "Seven Strategies To Achieve Balance," taught by A Place of Light teaching center in Massachusetts. Two years later they met again, this time in an online meditation group, also sponsored by A Place of Light. Each woman was deeply impacted by the latter group's weekly sending of love energy to Washington D.C., and Julie suggested that the program could be extended to daily sessions sending peace and love anywhere in the world. Thus the daily peace prayer/meditation group "The Peace Stream" was formed. Drawing on Peggy's Christian background and Julie's practice of Buddhism, the progam eventually grew into the current online space, where links to the wisdom and energies of diverse religious and secular groups and resources focused on Peace are gathered together into one place for anyone to tap into and share.

Riding south along the Croatian coastal highway on a bus with the rest of my Medjugorje-bound pilgrimage group, I looked up at the gloomy charcoal-colored cloud cover and observed one narrow shaft of sunlight suddenly break through the dark ceiling, sending a tiny sparkling circle onto the black Adriatic Sea. A few moments later another small ray of light shone through, then another, dropping their small circles of brightness onto the dark ocean surface. More shafts of light, more shining little circles. Then gradually some of the circles began to merge together one by one into larger areas of light.
As I watched, the circles combined with each other and with nearby areas faster and faster, wider and wider. Before long they had become an entire ocean of sparkling light, and the dark waters were gone!
Intense awe overwhelmed me, as I realized this was how universal peace and love could become fully felt around the globe – through individuals' sending out peace energies on their own in the mindful sharing of wider and wider groups. Eventually that energy could impact the attitude of the entire world.
We are those circles of peace and light! We offer you, on this site, an opportunity to experience, be inspired, learn, and act together in collaboration with us in a vision of peace that has the capability of expanding, like those rays of light, in wider and wider circles around the world.
